Information

Asia and Pacific Museum is located in two historic two-story buildings of the former municipal slaughterhouse at 24 Solec Street and on the ground floor of an apartment building, which was put into use in 2013. The museum was established in 1973 from the collection of Andrzej Wawrzyniak. It has 18,000 objects in its collection. In addition to the Indonesian collection, the Museum collections also include collections from Mongolia, India, Nepal, Tibet, Vietnam, Burma, Laos, China , Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan), Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu. Its also amassing the works of Polish artists inspired by Asia. It is a meeting place and a variety of activities promoting the cultures of Asia, Australia and Oceania in Poland.
