Maria Konopnickiej Street, Cedynia, 74-520
The Cistercian monastery in Cedynia was founded around the mid-thirteenth century. During its operation, it was rebuilt many times. After the Reformation in 1555, it was dissolved. The last nuns stayed there until 1611, because there was a school for maidens of noble origin in the building. Later it was transformed into the office of the Brandenburg Elector. In 1699 it was destroyed by fire. It was soon rebuilt and turned into a land estate. In the years 1811-1870 there was a postal inn in the monastery, and then until 1940 it was again the seat of the landowner. In 1945, during the hostilities by the Soviet army, the monastery was burnt down. In the years 1997–2005 it was rebuilt by a private owner under the supervision of the Provincial Conservator of Monuments. Currently, the preserved west wing houses the hotel and restaurant "Klasztor Cedynia".
