Information

Cricoteka (Polish: Cricoteka, Ośrodek Dokumentacji Sztuki Tadeusza Kantora) was founded in Krakow in 1980 on the initiative of Tadeusz Kantor as a living archive of the Cricot 2 Theater. Initially, the institution was located at 2 Szczepańska Street in Krakow. On September 12, 2014, a new seat of Cricoteka was opened at 2/4 Nadwiślańska street, in the building of the former power plant in Podgórze. For over 20 years, the Cricoteka archive has served its function, providing documents, reviews, scientific texts, photos, numerous audio and video recordings of materials related to the work of Tadeusz Kantor and the Cricot 2 Theater. After Tadeusz Kantor's death, one of the most important tasks of "Cricoteka" is to popularize the artist's work, both in the field of theater and visual arts. Currently, the exhibition has been divided into two parts: the first is devoted exclusively to the works of Kantor, in the second, collective and individual temporary exhibitions are organized by artists who in various ways initiate / enter into an artistic dialogue with Kantor's work or were important and inspiring to him.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
