Information

Czerwone Wierchy (Red Peaks) are most picturesque in autumn. Czerwone Wierchy range is also a border line between Poland and Slovakia. This mountain range has 4 peaks: Ciemniak (2096 m above sea level), Krzesanica (2122 m above sea level), Małołączniak (2096 m above sea level) and Kopa Kondradzka (2005 m above sea level). The summits are divided by three mountain passes. In Czerwone Wierchy range there are also numerous caves, including also the biggest ones in the Tatras: Marmurowa (the Marble Cave), Mała w Mułowej, Miętusia, Śnieżna Studnia (the Snow Well), Wielka Śnieżna (the Great Snowy Cave), Wysoka (the High Cave). The name “Red Peaks” comes from the plants covering the summits which at the end of summer and during autumn turn reddish-brown. Czerwone Wierchy offer amazing, panoramic views and the tourist path is fairly easy accessible in summer and popular among tourists. The tourist trail leading through Czerwone Wierchy has a red colour and is an easy one. Czerwone Wierchy is one of the most often photographed ranges in autumn in the Tatra Mountains.
