The Gondola Bay was established at the end of the 19th century. It is a remnant of the former Oława Miejska estuary channel to the Odra River, which was moved to the vicinity of the Grunwaldzki Bridge. After the war, the bay did not fulfill its original role for many years. This changed only in 2007, when the marina was reopened and equipment rental was allowed. In the Gondola Bay, tourists can rent water equipment or go on a boat trip on the Odra River. The water equipment rental shop is located at Purkyniego 9 Street near the building of the National Museum. For rent, it offers kayaks, pedalos, gondolas, WORKER motor boats, WORKER STRONG motor boats, motor yachts (115 and 150 KM) - they require authorization, and motor yachts - rented with a skipper. The marina sells kayak guides on site. Tourist can also order here the organization of integration or special events with a night cruise on the Odra River. The rental is open from 10.00 to dusk. When renting, you must show a photo document. In case of bad weather (heavy rain, wind and low temperature) the rental shop is closed.
