Guido coal mine is situated in Zawiercie at 93 3 Maja Street which is about 18 km from Katowice and 96 km from Kraków. In the mine tourists can visit 3 levels: 170 m below ground surface, 320 m and extreme trail 355 m underground. At 320 level we can also visit K8 zone with conference rooms, concert area and a pub. Most of the tourists visit 2 levels 170 and 320. Sightseeing of such trail takes about 3 h and is possible only with a guide. The mine was established in 1885 and currently it is only a museum. The rout presents mining traditions and various mining technologies during the ages. The machines presented in the mine are still in working condition and tourists can observe them in action. One another attraction is underground train which guests use to transfer from one part of the mine to the other. A visit in Guido coal mine is definitely unforgettable experience and wonderful tourist attraction.
