Information

The Herbst Palace (Polish: Muzeum Pałac Herbsta) is a place associated with the fate of the Herbst and Scheibler families, who were included among the richest and most influential families of industrialists not only in Łódź, but also throughout Poland in the second half of the 19th century. In the 1970s, the Herbst family house was taken over by the Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź to create an internal exhibition. Currently, the Herbst Palace Museum is an institution that collects and provides collections of old paintings, sculptures, graphics and arts and crafts. Through problem exhibitions presenting various fields of creativity, he draws attention to issues related to social history and ancient art in the broad context of everyday culture. The mission of the Herbst Palace Museum is to inspire people to deepen their knowledge and understanding of art, culture and social history of the 19th and 19th / 20th centuries.
