Information

We invite you to visiting open air museum of Polish village and participating in workshops about bees, their ecological and commercial importance. Human beekeeping or apiculture has been practised for millennia, since at least the times of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. Apart from honey and pollination, honey bees produce beeswax, royal jelly and propolis. Bees have appeared in mythology and folklore, through all phases of art and literature, from ancient times to the present day. Only now when their existence is endangered we start to understand the importance of maintaining environmental balance. During the group’s visit in Wygiełzów open air village museum the group will have the opportunity to learn about traditional and ecological agriculture and Polish traditional village lifestyle and also get bigger understanding of the role of endangered bees. We will also take a tour around the museum to learn more about traditional village and countryside life.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
