Information

Kadzielnia nature reserve (295 m above sea level, 0.6 hectare). It is an old excavation of Devonian limestone and since 1962 it has been nature reserve in which tourists can admire unusual rock formation, visit caves and listen to concerts in a natural amphitheater. Limestone was mined here for about 200 years. Nowadays, tourists can admire limestone walls with fragments of marine animals fossils. A red tourist trail goes via Kadzielnia. Moreover, tourists use various walking paths circling the area which are also very popular among Kielce inhabitants. There are also special viewing points to Saint Cross Mountains panorama. Visitors can also admire karst forms. In summer guests can visit 160 m cave route which joins caves in Kadzielnia. This reserve which is situated in the capital of Saint Cross Mountains is a place that you shouldn’t miss.
