Information

The construction of the castle started in 12th century. During its history it was a headquarters of a king and a castellan, a prison and finally a museum. One of the most precious parts of the castle is the Holly Trinity Chapel with Russian-Byzantine frescos from the 15th century. In the castle you will find Lubelskie Museum which administers the castle, the tower and the Holly Trinity Chapel. In the museum there are exhibitions about weaponry, Polish historical and battle paintings, the 17th till 20th century paintings, decorative arts, coins and medals from Polish lands, Lublin area folk art and prehistory of the Lublin region. You can visit 3 chosen exhibitions with a guide within 45 min. If you plan to visit Lublin, you just have to see Lublin Castle.
