Information

Mozartiana, or the International Mozart Festival, presents the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and compositions inspired by his work in the natural surroundings of the Mozart era - the Abbots' Palace and the Oliwa Park. "Mozartiana" has been organized in Gdańsk since 2006. From the very beginning, they have an international rank thanks to foreign performers. The date of the festival coincides with the summer season, and is an excellent proposition for Polish and foreign tourists visiting Gdańsk in large numbers. The originator and main organizer is the Polish Chamber Choir, co-organizer of the National Museum in Gdańsk. The festival includes great instrumental and vocal forms, opera music concerts, as well as jazz, folk, klezmer and highlander studies of Mozart's work, as well as literary and music workshops for children. The festival's permanent feature is the "Water, Light and Mozart Music" show. The sound system and the play of lights make the Oliwa Park an open-air stage filled with the music of an outstanding Viennese. The unusual atmosphere in the Oliwa Park is also created by the theatralization of space. On the paths and in the alleys, you can meet figures straight from the 18th century.
