Information

Łódź murals (Polish: Łódzkie Murale) is a permanent gallery of large-format paintings - murals placed directly on the facades of buildings throughout Łódź. There are one of the main showpieces of Łódź. They are created by artists from the remotest corners of the world, but also by artists from Łódź who have gained worldwide fame. Murals have been created for years, incl. as part of the Urban Forms Gallery Festival and earlier the International Graffiti Festival. Currently, there are 82 murals in Łódź. One of the first murals painted in 2001 by the Łódź art group Design Futura at 152 Piotrkowska Street was entered in the Guinness Book of Records and for some time was the largest graffiti in the world. The most unusual is the mural carved on the wall by the Portuguese artist Alexandre Fatro, showing the girl's profile. It is located at the intersection of Kopernika and Żeromskiego Streets. Another interesting mural can be found on Wyszyńskiego Street. It is one of the largest murals in Poland and was created in September 2013 on the wall of an 11-story skyscraper. It shows a figure with a lamb.
