The Museum of the Fisheries Tradition of Milickie Ponds and the Barycz Valley consists of two objects: an open-air museum with a presentation of fishing tools and a Fisherman's House showing the latest history of the Milickie Ponds Farm. Tourists can see here, among others traditional catch of fish presented on a special pond. There is also a photo safari, during which they can observe birds in one of the most valuable habitats in Poland. For children, there are playgrounds and a game park with goats, sheep, donkeys and ponies. Film workshops with regional and nature education as well as field activities are also organized here. Stawy Milickie is a complex of nearly 300 fish ponds located in the Barycz Valley, near Milicz and Żmigród. They occupy over 7.6 thousand ha, of which approx. 5.5 thous. ha are areas of waterfowl and marsh bird reserves. There are about 270 species of birds here, incl. cranes, lesser spotted eagles and rust kites. Milickie ponds are the largest complex of fish ponds in Europe.
