Information

Sine Wiry (Polish: Rezerwat przyrody Sine Wiry) is a landscape reserve with an area of 450 ha. It is located in the Cisniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park, in the Eastern Carpathians International Biosphere Reserve. It is one of the most popular tourist places in the Bieszczady Mountains. This reserve includes a several-kilometer section of the Wetlina River, and the southern slopes of the Połoma hill (776m above sea level) covered mainly with beech and fir forest. The most characteristic, one of the most beautiful and easily accessible parts of the reserve is the gorge of Wetlina, which breaks through numerous rock thresholds at the foot of Połoma. The reserve is a great wealth of flora and fauna that live here. There are two ways to reach the Sine Wiry. First of all, from the road connecting Bukowiec on the Solina Lagoon - where Solinka flows into it - with Dołżyca near Cisna. The second option is to get here from Kalnica by a gravel road, passing the area of the former village of Jaworzec.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
