Nosal, Zakopane, 34-500
Nosal. The name of the mountain comes from its shape which is like a human nose. The height of Nosal is 1 206 m above sea level and most of the mountain is covered by forest, only the highest areas have some rocky forms. Nosal is built of limestone rocks therefore, there are a few interesting plants there such as an edelweiss, primrose and orchids. From rare animals tourist can meet a lynx, deer and eagle owl. Nosal is popular among mountaineers, there are about 30 mountaineering trails here. You can also try skiing. At northern slope of Nosal skiing centre has been built with ski lifts and ski run. Tourists who want to climb this mountain usually choose fairly easy green trail (about 35 min climb). At Nosal summit tourists always admire Zakopane panorama and other peaks such as Koszysta, Granaty, Kozi Wierch, Kościelec, Świnica, Kasprowy Wierch, Gorczykowe Czuby or Giewont.
