Information

The Nożyk Synagogue is located at 6 Twarda Street in Warsaw. It is the only surviving prewar Jewish house of prayer in Warsaw. The synagogue was built in the Romanesque Revival style, and incorporated the Byzantine and Moorish style ornamentation. The seating capacity of the men’s section on the ground floor and the women’s section on the balcony stands at 350. Currently, the synagogue is the most important meeting point for the Jewish community. The Synagogue can be visited Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. During Shabbat and other Jewish holidays the Synagogue is closed for the visitors.
