Castle of Warmia Capitulum is a Gothic building constructed in the 14th century. The most important governor of the castle was the Nicholaus Copernicus, about whom we of course find exhibition in the castle. He stayed in the castle from 1516 till 1521. Currently, the castle is a headquarters of Warmia-Mazury Regional Museum where we can admire precious exhibitions of archeology, collection of decorative arts, crafts, modern art and icons. The exhibitions can be viewed individually or with a castle guide. The castle is also a home of knights brotherhood and tourists will also find a souvenir shop and a restaurant. Olsztyn Castle is a place really worth visiting and all astronomy lovers should join visit here with a trip to Olsztyn planetarium.
