Information

The palace in Bejsce was built in 1802 by Jakub Kubicki for Marcin Badeni. The appearance of the building is similar to the Belweder Palace in Warsaw. It was built on the site of a wooden manor house - probably from the times of the Firlejs, the first owners of the village. It is brick, rectangular, multi-storey and with a basement, situated on a southward slope. The palace is covered with a hipped roof made of sheet metal, topped with a wide chimney (similar to the Belweder Palace in Warsaw). The two-storey high living room has the most representative interior. The walls of the living room are covered with paintings in stucco frames and the whole is illuminated by semicircular windows. The division of the functions of the rooms is visible in the facade of the palace. The representative rooms are located on the first floor, which is clearly higher than the upper floor, where the bedrooms are located. The palace was once surrounded by a French-style landscape park designed by Augustyn Denizot. From 1878 to the outbreak of World War II, the palace was in the hands of the Byszewski family. Currently, there is a Nursing Home here.
