The Kazimierzowski Castle in Przemyśl is a beautiful Renaissance building standing on the Castle Hill, above the San and the city. The castle was built after 1340, during the reign of Casimir the Great, hence its name. From 1884, the castle was the seat of the Przemyśl Dramatic Society "Fredreum". Until now, in one wing of the castle there is a theater that presents its plays in the open air of the castle gardens. Currently, the castle is thoroughly revitalized. In the courtyard there are fragments of the so-called Wołodara Church, the history of which dates back to the times of Bolesław the Brave. The castle houses the Przemyskie Center of Culture and Art. There is also a Song and Dance Ensemble "Przemyśl". In season, you can also visit the souvenir shop.
