Pszczyna Palace is located only 35 min ride from Katowice (40 km) and 1.5 h ride from Kraków (90 km). It is a magnate residence built either in 11th or 12th century. Its current neo-baroque form was created in 1870-1876. The residence is surrounded by a beautiful English style park of 156 hectare area. The palace has its original appliances and furniture which make it one of the most precious monuments of residential architecture in Poland. In the palace all storeys (apart from the attic) are available for tourists. There are a few sightseeing routes. We mostly recommend visiting palace chambers which takes about 1.5 h. They can be visited either individually or with a guide. More durable tourists can also spend even a few hours on a stroll in the park.
