Stare Osieczno
Rafting on the Drawa River is one of the most beautiful canoeing routes in Poland. Its unique nature, not only in the Drawa National Park, shaped over thousands of years, gives us unforgettable views. The richness of fauna and flora makes it possible to observe rare species under protection. Drawa, although it is situated in the Drawsko Lakeland, has the character of a mountain river, therefore during the rafting tourists can observe numerous rapids and the water current sometimes becomes very rapid. The Drawa River originates in the village of Zdroje near Połczyn Zdrój and flows for 173 kilometers, then it flows into the Noteć River near Krzyż Wielkopolski in Nowe Bielice. Rafting on Drawa river can be divided into 4 main parts. The first is lakes and small inlets. The upper stretches of the Drawa are calm and unhindered. The second fragment starts behind the lakes and continues to the beginning of Drawieński National Park. Initially, the trail is moderately difficult. Drawa flows in this place through beautiful forests of unique beauty. Later, the river becomes much easier and even lazy and flows through the backwaters. The most difficult third part of Drawa leads through the Drawieński National Park and it is also the most beautiful place for canoeing in this part of Poland. The episodes are difficult and challenging. The last part of Drawa is the stages from Stary Osieczno to the mouth of Drawa to Noteć in the vicinity of Krzyż Wielkopolski. Drawa in this section is calm, wide and safe. It is perfect for family canoeing trips. There are few obstacles that do not hinder even people who went kayaking for the first time.
