Information

The Roztoka Palace (Polish: Zamek Hochbergów w Roztoce) was probably built in the 16th century as a defensive Renaissance manor. From the end of the 15th century until 1945, the Castle in Roztoka was the seat of the count's line of the eminent Silesian family of von Hochberg. The castle interiors make a huge impression. The representative rooms on the first floor, referring to the Italian tradition of piano nobile, have retained their particularly rich interior. The interiors of the castle are decorated with sumptuous paneling, painted and stucco ceilings and fireplaces made of multi-colored marble. The palace is surrounded by the remains of a moat with stone bridges, and there is also a garden from the beginning of the 18th and 20th centuries. The Roztoka Palace can be visited on Friday at 6:00 PM and on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. The guided tours include the park, the garden, the ground floor area and the first floor. In addition to sightseeing, various types of events take place in the Castle - concerts, meetings with authors, picnics, workshops, and photo sessions.
