Information

The Seweryn Udziela Ethnographinc Museum dates back to 1902 when the first displays of Seweryn Udziela’s collection took place. Just two years later the National Museum set up its own ethnographic department based on the collections of Seweryn Udziela, Stanisław Witkiewicz and Tadeusz Estreicher. The displays travelled from the Cloth Hall through Wawel to find final home right after the World War II in the Kazimierski Town Hall. The entire collection consists of more than 80 thousand exhibits with mostly Polish and European cultures such as folklore, art and everyday life.
