Information

Słowiński National Park (Polish: Słowiński Park Narodowy) is one of the two seaside national parks in Poland. It is said that this park is a land of wind, water and sand as these factors influence the most the landscape of the area. Słowiński National Park was created in 1976 to protect system of seaside lakes, bogs, meadows, woods and moving dunes. It has an area of 32 744.03 hectares. The main magnets for tourists are moving dunes which sometimes really offer desert like experiences. The park also offers beautiful beaches. Among animals, the most important are birds. There are 260 species of them here. The park symbol is a herling gull. There are also 490 insects, 10 amphibians, 5 reptiles and among mammals the most interesting for tourists are bats, porpoises and grey seals. It is a place really worth visiting especially during your summer stay in Łeba sea resort.
