Information

Smreczyński Staw (Fir Tree Pond) is an ideal continuation of the Stroll in Kościeliska Valley and visit in mountain hostel at Ornak mountain pasture. From the mountain hostel the journey to the lake takes about 30 minutes of not very demanding climb (there are only two stretches with steeper climbs). The trail to the lake has a black colour and 1.2 km length. The difference of the height between the mountain hostel and lake is 120 m. The lake is at 1226 m above sea level and at its bank there is a viewing deck with benches for tourists. The area of the lake is 0.75 hectare and the average depth 1.8 m. Smreczyński Pond is surrounded by a forest but above it tourists can admire the Tatra peaks panorama to Smreczyński Wierch (2086 m above sea level) Kamieniska (2126 m above sea level), Błyszcz (2158 m above sea level) and slopes of Starorobociański Wierch (2178 m above sea level). If you still have energy after a stroll in Kościeliska Valley, you really have to see Smreczyński Pond which enchants people with its peace and magnificent mountain panorama.
