The island is one of Gdańsk districts and is located only 15 km from the city center. It is the third biggest islands at the Polish coast (37 square kilometers). The island was created in Vistula’s delta thanks to the change of the main river bed. Sobieszewo is a magnet for tourist especially because of white sandy beaches so, we can meet here a lot of sea and sun tan lovers. Still, there are some more attractions to see. The island is also a magnet for ornithologists as there are 2 natural reserves on the island “the Birds’ Heaven” and “the Seagull Sandbank”.
