Information

Sokolica summit is in Pieniny National Park. The summit is at 747 m above sea level and offers amazing views to the Pieniny Range. The summit itself is famous for relict pines. The oldest one is 500 years old. The northern slope of the mountain is covered in beech and fir tree forest which is the most spectacular in autumn. The southern wall is 310 m high chasm leading to Dunajec River. From Krościenko you can get to Sokolica by green and blue trail (about 1:40 h trekking), from Szczawnica there is a direct blue trail and climbing takes about 1 hour. Next to Trzy Korony summits, Sokolica is one of the most popular tourist destination in Pieniny mountain range.
