Dzielnica Czterech Wyznań, Wrocław, 50-072
The Four Denominations District is located in the city center near the Market Square. Its borders are marked by the streets with the Catholic church, the Evangelical church, the Orthodox church and the synagogue. It symbolizes the religious and cultural diversity and tolerance of Wrocław. In order to strengthen cooperation between religions, the Council of the District of Mutual Respect was established, which has been operating since 1996. In 2005, the temples were connected by a cultural path, and the Four Denominations District was entered in the register of monuments and recognized as a historical monument. The faithful of four denominations organize joint charity events, educational meetings for children and ecumenical prayers to bring the cultural and religious diversity of the city closer. There are many restaurants, cafes, pubs and music clubs here. It is one of the city's tourist attractions. The Four Denominations District is also known as the Mutual Respect District or the Four Temples District.
