Information

The Museum of St. Martin's Croissants (Polish: Muzeum Rogali Świętomarcińskich) is located in Poznań, on the first floor of a tenement house at 41 Stary Rynek. The museum was opened on April 12, 2014 and is the first facility devoted entirely to regional products. The main originator was Szymon Walter. It is a place where visitors can get to know Poznań, its specificity, language and symbols, with particular emphasis on the St. Martin's Croissants. During the show, visitors will learn how to produce a croissant according to the original recipe, they will hear the legends about the creation of Croissants, learn about their ingredients and recipes and try them. The traditional recipe is over 150 years old and has the status of Protected Geographical Indication, it can only be made in Wielkopolska according to a specific recipe, the most important ingredient of which is white poppy seeds. On site you can buy many original souvenirs related to Croissants and Poznań. These are, for example, fresh St. Martin's Croissants in special gift packages, magnets, jewelry, confectionery accessories and many more.
