Information

The Witold Lutosławski National Music Forum (Polish: Narodowe Forum Muzyki Witolda Lutosławskiego) is a modern concert hall complex, located at Plac Wolności 1 in Wrocław. The facility was officially opened in 2014. The National Forum of Music is created by the Wrocław Philharmonic and the International Festival Wratislavia Cantans. One of the initiators of the creation of the National Forum of Music and currently its director is Andrzej Kosendiak. Inside the building there are four acoustically separated concert halls and three smaller ones intended for intimate performances. Each room is adapted to the presentation of all types of music - from classical, through jazz, to alternative and electronic music. 1,800 people can sit in the huge audience of the largest concert hall. In addition to the concert halls, the facility includes rehearsal rooms, conference and office rooms, exhibition rooms and a restaurant. The National Forum of Music aims to promote active participation in cultural life among the inhabitants of Lower Silesia and visitors to Wrocław. The result of these intense activities are ten festivals, to which the most outstanding Polish and foreign artists are invited each year, and the venue itself becomes a meeting place for representatives of various arts, not only music.
