Information

The palace park in Świerklaniec (Polish: Park pałacowy w Świerklańcu) is situated on the main road from Tarnowskie Góry to Piekary Śląskie. In the park, visitors will find various species of trees, e.g. over a hundred-year-old oaks, white pine trees, chestnut trees, white pines and others. The most famous park monument is the Kaweler's Palace. It was built especially for Emperor Wilhelm II, who was a frequent visitor to the Donnersmarck's hunting trips. Today, the Kawalera Palace houses a hotel and a restaurant. There is also an Amphitheater in Świerklaniec Park, as well as the Fountain and Sculptures of Fremutt, the author of, among others of the Parisian statue of Joan of Arc. Another attraction of the park is the former Evangelical, today Roman Catholic church in its northern part. At the entrance to the park there is a guardhouse, or concierge. Currently, it houses the Registry Office. The park in Świerklaniec also offers attractions for children in the form of a playground, as well as for the elderly: a health trail, kayaking and fishing. In the western part of the park there is Lake Świerklanieckie.
