The Royal Coronation - the Slavic Culture Festival in Gniezno is one of the most important events on the Piast Trail each year. It is an extraordinary historical spectacle based on the "learning through play" formula, held cyclically in July in the First Capital of Poland. Thanks to professionally prepared historical reconstructions, residents and tourists can learn about the early Piast culture and customs, learn many things about old crafts, see what real knights looked like, or watch a show of duels and fights of medieval warriors. At specially prepared craft stands, you can see what life was like in a typical medieval settlement. Each year, the Coronation is accompanied by the Archery Tournament for the Golden Trzos of Gniezno Town. Admission to the festival site is free.
