Information

The Giewont peak’s height is 1897 meters above sea level so, it is not too easy to climb. We recommend it only to tourists that are well prepared for mountain climbing and have previous experience in high mountain trekking. The peak is very popular as it is the best one visible from Zakopane. When weather is good it is even possible to notice the iron cross that stands on Giewont summit from the city. This large metal construction is dangerous especially during summer thunder storms. Therefore, Giewont should be approached only when the weather is stable. The peak can be climbed via 3 various routes: blue, red and yellow ones. The climb takes about 3:15 h. The most difficult part of the trail is the top part of blue trail which is only one directional and equipped with safety metal chains. Giewont is an amazing challenge still, destined only for those who are good at mountain climbing.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
