Das Hostel is a brand-new facility, opened in 2019 in a two-storey building, located at 50 Karmelicka St. only 10-minute walk from Main Square and 20-minute walk from the Wawel Royal Castle. In surrounding area there are also Cracow’s Park, the Cuartel General Gestapo Museum and Dolne Młyny St. with countless restaurants, pubs and cafés which is a centre of social and cultural life of the city.
The hostel puts at guests’ disposal 7 rooms: six-bed, eight-bed, ten-bed and fourteen-bed. Bunk beds are in all rooms. Bathrooms are shared – the hostel have at disposal four sanitary units with four toilets, four showers and hairdryers. Bedlinen and towels are included in price. Lockers in the rooms have locks for every guest. Neither the building nor the rooms are accessible to people moving with the aid of wheelchairs. In case of groups, all participants are in the same building in adjacent rooms.
In the facility, there is a common room when groups can freely assemble. Moreover, guests can take advantage of board games, a small library with foreign language books, free Wi-Fi connection and bike rental.
The Das Hostel does not own a restaurant, but it offers breakfast and two-course dinner. The hostel adapts the hours of meals to the needs of a group. Guests are welcome to take advantage of a common kitchen with a microwave and free coffee. What is more, on the premises there are vending machines with beverages and snacks.
Reception desk is opened 24/7. Luggage room for groups is complimentary.
The nearest bus/tram stop is within short walking distance. From the stop guests can easily get to the airport. Furthermore, the hostel offers its help with organizing transfers from the airport. PKP/PKS (main railway/bus station) is about 15-minute walk from the facility.
Buses are allowed to drive up to the hostel.
Deposit from guests on the spot is charged only for renting bikes.
