LUMDETR is an International Conference on Luminescent Detectors and Transformers of Ionizing Radiation that in 2021 was organized by Kasimir the Great University and Oncology Centre in Bydgoszcz – the heart of Kujavian-Pomeranian central region of Poland. This year more than a hundred participants from all over the world met in this beautiful and still touristic undiscovered city. Apart from scholar and scientific activities our guests could participate in side events to explore this part of the country. We were privileged to assist LUMDETR organizers in preparation of the congress. The event was taking place in PARiS Active Rehabilitation and Sports Centre. ITS Poland was responsible for creating and running the website of the event, handling the process of registration and accepting abstracts, creating promotional materials, onsite event coordination, transfers, public transport tickets for participants, sightseeing tours for participants around Bydgoszcz, to Toruń, the Astronomical Observatory in Piwnice, Golub-Dobrzyń Castle and Lubostroń Palace. In beautiful surrounding of historical architecture in Lubostroń and Golub Dobrzyń the group also enjoyed two gala dinners. In Medieval Golub Dobrzyń castle the group had not only a bonfire but also knights and a cannon shot shows. Apart from these prestigious dining venues the group also tasted Polish cuisine in Pierogarnia and Karramba Restaurant in Toruń and Ogniem i Mieczem Restaurant in Bydgoszcz. ITS Poland also managed accommodation for the group in Campanile Hotel in Bydgoszcz. All in all, it was incredibly interesting event. We are already looking forward to its future editions.
