We want to share with you an interesting business event that we organized this time in Slovakia for one of our Polish pharmaceutical companies. The event took place between the 15th and the 20th of January 2018 in Tatranska Lomnica resort. The group had 112 members and was accommodated in Grand Hotel Praha. The facility is located at the foot of Lomnicky Peak, right in the heart of High Tatras and only 900 m from the nearest ski lift, as skiing was one of the most important principles during this trip’s organisation. The hotel provides spa and wellness facilities as well as a unique outdoor infinity heated pool offering views to the valley and High Tatras Mountains. It also has over 100 years history as it was spectacularly opened in 1905. Grand Hotel Praha offers rich history, stylish interior and an excellent cuisine. Tatranska Lomnica itself is one of the largest settlements in the Tatra Mountains, located at an altitude of 830-900 m above sea level and at the foot of Lomnica Peak (2632 m above sea level), about 6 km east of Stary Smokovec. It is one of the most important tourist centers on the Slovak side of the Tatra Mountains, famous for its large number of hotels, guesthouses, campsites and cableways that transport tourists to the Lomnicki Pond and Lomnica summit itself. The group had 2 days of very fruitful and intensive conference time divided between plenary meeting and smaller workshops and apart from that a rich program of social events such as festive dinners (during one of them we have arranged a surprise birthday cake for on of the participants); and fun activities that participants could choose from: skiing, thermal resort and Poprad region sightseeing. We must also mention that apart from our conference department this group used our 24 h emergency service when one of the participants went temporarily missing during the stay. Still our emergency star – Charles, was able to located the missing lady, and the whole adventure became only an interesting anecdote for the group. All in all, it was a very interesting event that we were truly happy to assist with. We hope that our groups will find some inspiration here.
