Currently, Poland is fairly safe when it comes to COVID-19 situation. This is why we are very happy that groups are coming back to us. We want to share with you an interesting trip idea that we were happy to organise for one of our German groups interested in WWII history on 15 and 14.07.2021. To highlight your historical experience, it is good not only to see the sights, a great way to get better understanding is to meet survivals and witnesses. This is why 50-person group ordered by us two meetings with the Holocaust survivors. The meeting was organized in Jewish Galicia Museum. The space is big enough, so thanks to that, even with social distancing we didn’t have to divide the group. The group had two meetings one with Lidia Maksymowicz and the other one with Monika Goldwasser. Both meetings were translated into German. Apart from the witnesses’ speeches, participants of the meetings could ask questions about the war realia. One of the most important elements in history education, particularly in the context of the Second World War and the Holocaust, are personal accounts, so the meetings were truly precious. We invite all people coming to Cracow to take part in such meetings.
