Filharmonia (Philharmonic) restaurant is situated at Ołowianka 1 Street. From the Town Hall at Długi Targ Street the distance is about 1.2 km. Still, the distance is worth taking as the restaurant offers marvelous view to ships by Ołowianka island and famous Gdańsk Crane. Filharmonia offers 130 seats for the groups (50 at the ground floor, 60 at the first floor and 20 in VIP room). Each floor has 100m2 and VIP room has 30 m2. The restaurant specializes in modern cuisine (molecular and fusion), still it also offers traditional Polish dishes in its menu. The building in which restaurant is located was built in 1897-1898 as a heat and power station with a decorative brick façade. In 1997 Baltic Philharmonic took over the building and the new modern restaurant was opened with murals connected to music pieces.
