1 Pałacowa Street, Antonin, 63-421
The hunting palace of the Radziwiłł princes in Antonin was built in 1822–1824 by Karl Friedrich Schinkel for Prince Antoni Radziwiłł. The palace is wooden, on a foundation, built on a Greek cross plan - the main body is octagonal in shape, to which four lower wings were added. The facade is painted in the color of the so-called imperial bile. In the central part of the building there is a hunting hall - a large hall rising to the entire height of the palace. It is adorned with wonderful hunting trophies that cannot be found in a wide area. In this palace, as a guest and favorite musician of Antoni Radziwiłł, Fryderyk Chopin himself stayed here, reportedly having a love adventure with the prince's daughter. Currently, the Palace is a valuable monument of wooden architecture. There is a cafe inside and stylish accommodation in the wings. Classical music concerts are held in the hunting hall, whose decorative ceiling is supported by a huge column - the chimney.
