Information

The Nida River is one of the sunniest rivers in Poland, and its summer temperature sometimes reaches 27 degrees Celsius. Its riverbed does not exceed several dozen meters wide, and the depth rarely reaches more than a meter. The average decline on the trail is about 0.45 per mille. Thanks to this, the canoeing trips organized there are very safe. It flows among hills, forests, meadows and fields. The Nida Valley is a kingdom of many rare plants and animals protected within landscape parks, reserves and the Natura 2000 area. There are not many obstacles on the canoeing route: a few rapids, remains of old mills, fallen trees. Overcoming them is not particularly difficult and it certainly increases the attractiveness of canoeing. The route of canoeing along the Nida River is easy, not strenuous and very picturesque. A significant advantage is the relatively small number of canoeists, which ensures the intimacy of the canoeing trip. Rafting on the Nida can be easily ended on the Vistula, e.g. near Szczucin.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
