Information

The Pilica river is a left tributary of the Vistula with a length of 325.4 km. It is located in southern and central Poland. During its course, the river frequently changes its direction, depth and width, both in its riverbed and in the valley. The riverbed is very varied, mostly naturally meandering with numerous islets, meanders and arms. In the upper section, the river is relatively narrow. From Maluszyn village the riverbed becomes wider, the fall is about 0.5 ‰ and the bottom and banks are sandy in many places, which encourages bathing in clean and mostly shallow water. Picturesque landscapes spread around Pilica, with densely scattered historic points. The participants of the kayaking trip have the opportunity to organize a camp, incl. in the former gamekeeper's lodge "Biały Brzeg", in Taras village or in the city famous for beer production - Warka. Passing through places such as Tomaszów Mazowiecki, they can also admire the charms of the "Blue Springs" reserve. It is famous for its crystal clear waters inhabited by many species of birds, such as kingfishers, mute swans or mallard ducks. The Pilica river itself is characterized by a second class of purity, creating numerous islands, backwaters, arches and loops.
