Information

The railway to Butorowy Wierch is a chairlift, the route of which leads from Kościelisko to the peak of Butorowy Wierch in the Gubałówka Mountain Range and is located on the south-eastern slope of this hill. It is a frequently visited tourist attraction due to the possibility of experiencing wonderful experiences while going up by cable car, as well as the possibility of seeing a beautiful panorama of the Tatra Mountains, especially during the descent. The length of the chairlift route to Butorowy Wierch is 1619 m. The journey time by cable car takes about 20 minutes. The lower station is at an altitude of 886.3 m above sea level, while the upper station is at an altitude of 1158.4 m above sea level, which gives a height difference of 272.1 m. There are 19 supports along the route, and passengers are served by 200 2-seater chairs. The cable car can carry 700 people per hour. The lower railway station to Butorowy Wierch is located in Kościelisko, near Powstańców Śląskich and Czajki streets, where there is a car park and a bus stop. The chair ride to Butorowy Wierch ends right under the peak of Butorowy Wierch in the Gubałówka Range.
