Information

The Cieszyn Castle Brewery was established in 1846 during the reign of the Habsburgs. It still produces beer using traditional methods in open fermentation vats. A significant part of the production infrastructure is located inside the castle hill. In addition to brewing beer, it is also a living museum of brewing. Some of the buildings are used as permanent exhibitions, which present the processes of beer production, the history of the brewery and cultural events. The brewery can be visited in groups or individually. After getting acquainted with the history of the place, visitors will go through various rooms and production stages, starting from shot blasting, mashing, brewing, filtration, to the storage room. Only the fermentation plant, where fermentation takes place in open vats, remains closed to visitors due to the resulting risk of contamination of the beers. The tour takes place under the watchful eye of a brewer who talks about his passion and work. You can spend a few good hours here and find out about the uniqueness of this place, and after sightseeing… come to the brewery restaurant for a tasting. Today the brewery produces amber ale: Brackie Mastne, lager: Brackie, Baltic porter: Żywiec Porter, hefe-weizen: Leżajsk Pszeniczne. Since 2017, Browar Zamkowy Cieszyn has been on the Industrial Monuments Route of the Silesian Voivodeship.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
