The Nysa Fortress Days is a real treat for fans of military and strong impressions to go back in time two centuries to the times of the Napoleonic wars. During three days, from Friday to Sunday, in the last week of July, events closely related to the functioning of the fortress take place on the fortifications. Napoleon and Prussian soldiers march through the city, a fort festival is held in the bastion of Saint Jadwiga, and in Fort II the Battle of the Nysa Fortress, which is a staging of the events of 1807, when Napoleon's army besieged the city. In the evening, night maneuvers take place in Fort II, and in the Blue Bay, in Głębinów, you can witness a sea battle. Participants of the event will have the opportunity to see what the camp life of soldiers looked like at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuriesand and visit the Nysa fortifications with a guide - Fort No. 2, Saint Jadwiga's Bastion and Water Fort. The event is historical and educational in nature and presents the image of the battlefield and military customs of the Napoleonic era.
