Information

Ojcowski National Park was created in 1956, the main aim of the park was the protection of Prądnik Valley with caves, plant and animal life in this area. The land of the park is built of Jurassic limestone created about 150 million years ago. Such a geological structure created favourable conditions for developing of caves. In the park there are about 700 of them. Kraków is only 20 km from the park (30 min drive). On the route, the group will be able to see the most famous rock spire - Hercules Club created as a result of karst water activity. We will approach the built-in rocks - Castle in Pieskowa Skala (we will see it from the outside). A walk through the valley will show us another Rock Spire – Deotyma Needle and numerous rock complexes along the way with the most characteristic rock gate - the Kraków Gate. We will also visit the Dark Cave in which we will see stalactites and other cave forms as well as the Neandertal camp. The tour ends with a visit to the Bat Cave. To properly close up such an eventful day it is possible to finish a day with a horse cart tour around the park and a bonfire.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
