2 h 26 Ofiar Gross Rosen Street, Rogoźnica, 58-152
The Gross-Rosen Museum in Rogoźnica is located on the premises of the German concentration camp that operated in the years 1940-1945. Currently, it is a museum area where visitors will be able to see the remains of old buildings, the crematorium furnace, the wall of death, the camp gate, and a faithfully reconstructed prisoner barrack and a watchtower. The main exhibition is divided into six thematic exhibitions. It presents not only the history of the camp, but also the cruel realities of everyday life of prisoners. The main task of the museum is collecting source materials for the history of the KL Gross-Rosen complex, conducting scientific research and disseminating historical knowledge, as well as securing the remains of the camp and making them available to visitors. A minimum of 2 hours should be allowed for visiting the grounds and exhibition of the Museum. Since 1963, the building has been included in the National Register of Monuments, thanks to which many repairs and security were carried out, and in the years 1978-1982 an exhibition pavilion was built.
