Information

Kamieniec Castle is a fortress from the 14th century located on a rocky hill, on the edge of the Czarnorzecko-Strzyżowski Landscape Park. It is one of the most beautiful examples of the combination of a building and the landscape. Over the years, it has undergone numerous reconstructions and extensions. Nevertheless, it has retained many original gothic elements. For a very long time, the castle was divided into two parts, each of which was owned by a different owner. The first part was the upper castle and the western bailey, while the second part was the middle castle and the eastern bailey. The glory years of the Kamieniec castle fall on the 16th and 17th centuries. In the area of the castle ruins there is the Castle Museum, the Torture Room, and the Castle Ceramics Workshop. In the museum, visitors will have the opportunity to see exhibits related to the history of the stronghold and military. In the castle ceramics workshop, participants will have the opportunity to take part in clay modeling workshops using the roller, embossing or slicing methods, or in workshops for decorating clay figures and forms in the painting technique. In the upper castle there is also a monument to Tadeusz Kościuszko, which dates back to the 19th century. It was set on the hundredth anniversary of the Uprising.

Please note that ITS-Poland works with groups only (10 participants and more).
