Konewka Bunker

Information

The tourist route "Bunkier w Konewce" was established in 2005. It is located in the forest on the site of the former German shelter complex Gefechtsstand "Anlage Mitte". Visitors will have the opportunity to see a 300-meter-long reinforced concrete railway bunker with an exhibition of military equipment, military vehicles, models of bunkers and German military trains; technical bunkers: hydrophore plant, boiler room and power plant, from which they can go underground to the railway bunker with an 80-meter section of technical canals; and a deep well bunker, water cooler, fuel tank. There is a walking trail in the forest around the railway bunker and technical facilities. Next to the bunkers, there are roofed benches with tables and a place for a bonfire or grill, allowing visitors to organize a camping or rest after sightseeing. In the shelter, there is also a stand with publications on the history of World War II and guides, maps and souvenirs. Motorbike rides with baskets and a military car are also offered on weekends.
