Information

Królikarnia Palace is located at 113a Puławska Street in Warsaw, on the Vistula embankment. It was built in the 80s of the 18th century by Charles Thomatis, Count de Valery, according to the design of Dominik Merlini. The park was set up as a zoo, to hunt for rabbits. Now Królikarnia houses the Xawery Dunikowski Museum of Sculpture, opened in 1965. The Museum is a branch of the National Museum in Warsaw. Exhibitions, performances, meetings, conferences, film screenings, concerts and outdoor events are organized there in the romantic park surrounding the palace. The museum also houses the country's largest collection of sculptures, ranging from the 15th century to the present day. The museum can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 4pm. On Mondays, the museum is closed to visitors.
