Information

Krynica-Zdrój is one of the most famous resorts, referred to as the "Pearl of Polish Health Resorts". It is located in Beskid Sądecki at an altitude of 560-620 m above sea level, in the picturesque valleys of Kryniczanka and its tributaries, 150 km south of Krakow. Krynica-Zdrój owes its fame as a health resort to its excellent healing waters, among which Zuber deserves special attention - a water with extremely high mineralization, unique in Europe. There are numerous sanatorium centers, perfectly equipped with treatment devices, which can successfully compete with the most renowned centers in the country and abroad. Krynica-Zdrój is also an ideal starting point for various trips. Local attractions are very popular among tourists. Visitors, regardless of the season or age, have plenty of opportunities for active recreation. An obligatory point on the map of Krynica Zdrój is Jaworzyna Krynicka - a summit 1114 m above sea level, to which, apart from a quite demanding hiking trail, also leads a gondola lift, one of the most modern and longest of its kind in Poland. An attraction for adults and children is also the funicular railway leading to Góra Parkowa (741 m above sea level), located almost in the heart of the town. In addition to the views from its top, enthusiasts of spending time actively will find here paths and forest alleys encouraging for walks. A respite for walkers will be provided by stops in charming places, such as Polana Michasiowa or the historic 19th-century gazebos. One of the newest attractions on the map of Krynica Zdrój is the observation tower at the top of the Słotwiny Arena ski station. It is the country's first, 49.5-meter-high wooden tower with an over kilometer-long path leading through the treetops, offering breathtaking views of the entire area.
